Why Brad and Who is He?

Hi I’m Brad Yzermans.   I’d like to help you qualify for an affordable mortgage to purchase or refinance your home.

A professional tells you what you need to know, not what you want to hear.

Did you know in the last 12 months, 41% of all people who applied for a home loan were denied and 35% of those denials were WRONGLY denied?  Many people won’t apply because their friend or neighbor got denied, which was probably in error!  This means Loan Officer’s are making a lot of mistakes and some other lender (like me) could have gotten the loan approved.  That’s not cool.

Mortgage qualifying guidelines are constantly changing and often defy common sense, so don’t become a victim of the ‘too big to fail’ banks rigid guidelines, higher rates, higher fees, and unlicensed and/or inexperienced Loan Officers wrongly denying you of a home.

Six key benefits of working with me.  You will…..

  1. Clearly understand all of your home loan options
  2. Learn how to purchase after experiencing a foreclosure, short sale, or bankruptcy
  3. Clearly understand the approval process and qualifying criteria
  4. Learn quickly how much you qualify for, estimated payment, and costs
  5. Avoid costly mistakes before you get into a purchase contract
  6. Have peace of mind knowing your loan will actually fund

and the man that gets understanding. (proverbs 3:13)

An Investment in knowledge pays the best interest. (Ben Franklin)

The purpose of this site is to educate, inform, and provide transparency into the lending process for my prospective buyers and real estate agents.  I help people throughout Southern California and the Inland Empire learn more about mortgages, interest rates, and real estate.

Why is that important? To empower wisdom and understanding.  Because the quality of your decisions are dependent on the quality of advice and information you receive.

Through my pursuit of playing on the PGA Tour, I learned early on that becoming an expert in a chosen trade or craft requires years of dedication, reading, practice, experience, and finally……communicating what you know for the benefit of others.  In today’s crazy housing market, you can’t afford to leave your dream of home ownership to your best friends aunt’s cousin who has a nephew that ‘does’ loans ‘on the side’.  You need someone who wants what you want…….someone you can trust, who is tenacious, and can prove their results.  (cough cough…..the latter is me by the way:-))

Having been around the block a time or two, you learn the short cuts and pot holes to avoid.  Experience is the best teacher.

Compensation Disclosure: I’m paid directly by my employer….not you.  My compensation is not tied to the rate you choose, so there can never be an attempt to sell or steer you into accepting a higher rate in order to make more money like many other lenders still do.

In fact, most borrowers receive a lender credit from us to help pay closing costs and reduce their funds needed for closing!

Plus, I don’t get paid unless I get you get want you want…….a funded loan approval and a good interest rate.

Personal Biography

I grew up in small town in Minnesota, had a normal childhood, never got detention in high school (OK, that’s not normal), attended college on a golf scholarship, and really enjoy where I am in life.

After playing college golf at San Jose State (1993, BA Psychology) and six years of professional golf as a PGA Member, I realized my desire to play the PGA Tour was not happening and decided it was time to get a real job (ouch!).

My career in mortgage lending began in 2004 (I swear, the housing crash is not my fault).  Since the sub-prime mortgage meltdown began in 2007,  70% of the people in our industry left the business.  Fortunately, my business began to thrive as a result of my commitment to these four core principles.

  • Know your guidelines
  • Understand the credit scoring model
  • Stay focused on helping home buyers and real estate agents adapt to the changes in our industry
  • Be 100% transparent by always giving advice and doing what’s best for the buyer/borrower even if it means referring them to another lender.

I have been married to my beautiful wife Tamara for 20 years.  We actually met online through a Christian Internet dating site.  After 8 months, I moved and left my job in Minnesota to marry and help raise her son.  We now have two boys, ages 18 and 22 two Springer Spaniel’s named Chip and Chapman.

In my free time (what’s that?), I enjoy playing golf, tennis, fishing, reading, watching movies, but most of all, creating memories with my wife and kids.  I have served in leadership, served as the Lead Usher, and served in various other helps ministries while attending Generations Church, Rancho Community Church, and The Bridge.
